Sunshine Sailing Australia is offering a thoroughly enjoyable 2-day Hobie 16 sailing program for children and adults. The program runs from 9:30 to 3:30 each day, covering all levels of sailing experience.
This is not for the faint hearted; you will need to be fit, strong and agile as these catamarans are very fast and very exciting !

What happens?
Students will be given an opportunity to cover all aspects of the sailing syllabus and have their log books signed off every week in order to reach the next certificated level.
What to expect?
The Sunshine Coast Academy has acquired 2 Hobie 16s which we will use for the training. These will also be available for racing by students who have demonstrated that they can handle the Hobie in all conditions. If conditions are considered to be unsuitable for safety a session will be called off before or during that session.
What do I bring?
Bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bathing suit, a warm jumper, change of clothes (minimal wardrobe needed), spray jacket. Be sure to pack this in a flexible soft bag.
What about meals?
Bring your own meals and drinks.

Our office is located at The Wharf Mooloolaba on Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba. There's ample parking. Click here to see a map. Dinghy courses will operate from the Maroochy Sailing Club on Chambers Island in the Maroochy River. The location can be accessed from Bradman Avenue, Maroochydore.

Whether it be friends, Mum and daughter or Dad and son, or any other combination this is a great way to get on the water and experience the thrill of Hobie sailing.
Upon completion of a Hobie Sailing course we will introduce you to the very active Queensland Hobie Cat Association which races regularly.
